Here it is our favourite hummus dip which will contribute to your daily intake of zinc. This is a staple in our house and not a day goes by that there is none in the fridge. It’s a great top up snack food for kids especially when they get home from school, sport or chilling with friends and can be easily packed to take to the beach!

Zinc is an important mineral in lots of functions in your body from nerve to immune and growth and development. It cannot be produced or stored in your body and is second in abundance to Iron. So making sure you are getting your daily intake of zinc will help with health expressions you may create now or in the future. We also add Vital Foods Plant Derived Organic Colloidal Minerals which enables us all to get our minerals in abundance into our diet.

Here is our Farrant Family one… it’s very simple!

Ingredients:

1 x Organic can of Chickpeas or 400g organic raw chickpeas soaked overnight or for at least for 8 hours

1 x lemon freshly squeezed or you can do 1/2 lemon freshly squeezed and some of the juice of the chickpeas

2 x Tbs of organic tahini

Salt and peper to taste

What to do:

  1. Place all ingredients in your blender or Thermomix and combine until smooth
  2. Turn out into a small bowl
  3. Drizzle with oil (see below options) and sprinkle with some chopped nuts – pumpkin, cashews, almonds
  4. Enjoy!

Optional extras:

1/2 capful of Vital Foods Plant Dervived Organic Colloidal Minerals

1 x glove garlic

1 x Tbs hemp powder

1 x drizzle of olive oil/avocado oil on top
