Kids Concussion… what happened?

$7.00

Concussion is a serious injury to the developing child, as it is to an adult. Most people however associate concussion with sports or car accidents. Most people don’t think about the day to day crashes, falls and spills that impact a child’s developing brain. Unfortunately because a lot of them are not on the sports field it tends to be brushed off as a ‘knock in the school yard’ however the ‘knock’ can have devastating effects. And it’s more common than you may think. The story outlined in this health e-report is a real one about Drs Sarah and Randall’s family and how they handled it. This health e-report includes the Vital Families ‘6 step weekly recovery plan’ to resume playground activities and/or contact sport.

The evening I heard Sarah speak changed many things for me. Her passion, her commitment and clarity gave me passion, commitment and clarity for what she was speaking on and what I knew to be true. I constantly refer to my notes from that evening to help me understand health and wellbeing on a grand scale. I’ve been speaking about health for the past 20 years but Sarah gave me what I call an Aha! A simple message, a different way of saying it and all I had to do was connect the dots and everything fell into place and a new understanding was the result. I’ve listened to many speakers through out my life but there are very few that give me that Aha! Sarah has a quality about her when she speaks which engages you into a world of calm, but at the same time an urgency to take action. It takes a special talent to do that!

Dr Farrant, Thank you so much for your lecture last night at the Lifetime Family Wellness Center in Honolulu. My wife, Debbie, and I have just begun our journey of asking different questions. Our child, Paul-James, will turn one year old next month and I would like to become a more informed parent. While I will turn 40 next month, I am completely new to parenthood. I registered on the Vital Mom’s site and will begin to read your blogs as well. However, I just wanted to take the time to send you my family’s heartfelt Mahalo (Thank you) for taking the time to share this great message. Have a wonderful stay and safe journey home. Aloha.

What a privilege to sing the praises of one of the world’s greatest health leaders, pioneers and visionaries! Dr Sarah Farrant not only cuts to the chase, she cuts through the hype and herd mentality surrounding the health industry. Her message is real, down to earth, scientific, wholistic, sensitive, intelligent and incredibly honest. She is one of the most inspiring women I know, and someone I often refer to as the voice of reason. Her vitalistic approach to wellbeing is second to none. She is someone who speaks the truth and gives us mothers permission to be the best version of ourselves by trusting our own innate intelligence. What a gift, what a woman. She has changed my life and ultimately, has taught me that an informed mother does know best.
